Only stopped at the Star for a swift half after a good walk around Blenheim Palace, but the smell of the fish and chips was irresistible. It was 'Fish Friday', so the offer was £10. Why not and what a great idea that was. Didn't have to wait any time and a very good plate of F&C was served up. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere, what else can you ask for. We will definitely be going back to this pub.
I didn't stay at the hotel but my friends and I had a wonderful meal. The fish and chips were delightful and the burger was really tasty. Two of us had the apple crumble and that was delicious! I'd definitely recommend the food and the service was friendly and efficient.

Pub lunch very nice - quiet Thursday lunch. Rear courtyard sheltered with big brollies on big tables but there's a barn to sit in if it's too warm/cold/raining. Highly recommend
Just eaten at The Star. Staff were super friendly ordered Fish and Chips. Restaurant was not too crowded, no loud music, no dogs (thank goodness), good conversation. Super service hot and fresh food and very reasonable

We were staying near by & hadnt booked anywhere for dinner Saturday night. So we called in here, they had a just vacated table. We ordered, bbq ribs for my husband & ham, eggs & chips for me, ptn of onion rings, pint of guiness & a pint of lemonade with 2 shots of blackcurrant juice, £45 & pennies. The meals were quite large, but very flavoursome and enjoyable, would eat here again.
Stopped at this pub for Sunday lunch. The food was excellent. I had the mushroom pie and can recommend it; bursting with mushroom flavour with a crisp pastry crust and well cooked vegetables on the side. The roast turkey was a little less well received as it was deemed to be dry, but the fish and chips were good.
Lovely afternoon at Blenheim completed by lovely wine at The Star. Delightful subtropical garden at rear where grandson could play and we relaxed for an hour. Def returning!
